FAQs

Everything forwarders ask us before they start: how Fregix connects to your inbox, what it automates, how your rates and agent network stay private, pricing, and what is coming next.

What Fregix Is

  • Fregix is an AI platform that automates freight forwarding operations directly inside a forwarder's existing email inbox. When a client inquiry arrives, Fregix reads it, contacts the forwarder's entire overseas agent network at the same moment, compares every rate that comes back, and produces a branded quotation in under 60 seconds with no manual work from the pricing team. Fregix is built by Binary AI Solutions (Pvt) Ltd and is used by freight forwarders in Pakistan and the Gulf.

  • Fregix automates the inquiry to quotation workflow that consumes 3 to 4 hours of a freight forwarder's day. That includes reading and understanding the client's shipment inquiry, writing and sending rate requests to 15 or 20 overseas agents, collecting replies in whatever format, language or currency they arrive in, comparing them, calculating margin, and producing a professional branded quote under the forwarder's own name.

  • Fregix is not a TMS and does not replace one. Fregix is an automation layer that sits on top of the email a forwarder already uses. Most freight forwarding software asks you to migrate your data, retrain your team and change how you work. Fregix asks for none of that. If you have an inbox, you can run Fregix.

  • No. Fregix works alongside whatever you use today, including Excel. There is no migration, no data import project and no new platform for your team to learn. Your pricing staff continue working exactly as they do now, and Fregix simply handles the repetitive email and comparison work before anyone has to touch it.

  • It means the work happens whether your team is at their desks or not. A client inquiry that arrives at 11pm on a Saturday gets read, sent to your agent network and answered, instead of sitting unopened until Monday morning while a faster competitor wins the shipment.

How It Works

  • Fregix connects to your existing email using IMAP/SMTP for standard email accounts, or the Microsoft Graph API if your company runs Microsoft 365. Your email address, your domain and your signature stay exactly as they are. Every message Fregix sends goes out from your own address, so your agents and clients see your company rather than a third party tool.

  • Your agents see the same thing they always have, which is an email from your company. Fregix sends rate requests from your own address, under your own company name and in your own house style. Nothing about your agent relationships changes. Your requests simply reach them faster and in a more complete, more consistent format, which is one reason agents tend to respond more quickly to Fregix users.

  • Fregix reads each agent reply the way an experienced pricing executive would, whether it arrives as body text, an attached Excel sheet, a PDF or a few lines typed from a phone. It handles multiple currencies and multiple writing styles, normalises everything into a single comparable view and identifies the strongest option. This is the part that normally costs a pricing team two to four hours of copy pasting into a spreadsheet.

  • Yes, and that is one of the main reasons forwarders adopt it. Fregix compares every response your network sends and surfaces the strongest commercial option rather than the first one that happens to arrive. Where your own pricing rules allow room to improve a rate, Fregix follows up with that agent in your company's normal correspondence style, exactly as your pricing desk would. You set the rules for margin, for when to follow up and for what is acceptable, so the commercial judgement remains yours and the relationship with your agent stays exactly as it is.

  • Under 60 seconds in a typical case. The manual version of this same workflow takes most forwarders between two and four hours, because it depends on a person writing 15 or 20 individual emails and then waiting for replies to trickle back in. Fregix reaches the entire agent network in the same instant.

  • Both modes are available and you choose. Some forwarders let Fregix send the branded quotation straight to the client for maximum speed. Others prefer a review step where the pricing manager approves the quote before it goes out. Most customers begin with review and approve, then move to fully automatic once they have seen the output on their own lanes, usually within a few weeks.

  • They get answered. This is one of the largest practical gains our customers report. Inquiries arriving at night, on Sundays or during Eid holidays no longer sit in an inbox until someone opens it. In a market where the first credible quote very often wins the shipment, that alone changes win rates.

For Freight Forwarders in Pakistan

  • Yes. Fregix is an AI freight forwarding automation platform built in Pakistan, for the way Pakistani freight forwarders actually operate. Most global freight software assumes you already run an enterprise transport management system and that your rates sit in a structured database. Pakistani forwarders do not work that way. Rates live with your overseas agents and arrive by email and WhatsApp. Fregix was designed around that reality from the first day.

  • Because they are built for a different kind of forwarder. Most international platforms assume carrier rate contracts already loaded into a system, a dedicated IT team and an enterprise software budget. The typical Pakistani forwarder runs on email, Excel, WhatsApp and long standing agent relationships. Software built for the first model has nothing to connect to in the second. Fregix connects to the one thing every Pakistani forwarder already has, which is an inbox.

  • Yes, and the Pakistan to China corridor is one of Fregix's strongest lanes. This route depends heavily on a wide agent and co loader network in China, with rates arriving in different formats, in different currencies and often in a mix of English and Chinese. That is precisely the situation Fregix was built for. Fregix reaches your entire China agent network at once, normalises every reply into a single comparable view and returns a client ready quotation in under a minute, on a corridor where speed and rate spread decide who wins the shipment.

  • Fregix supports any corridor where you receive inquiries by email and source rates from an agent network. In practice that means the lanes Pakistani forwarders work every day, including Pakistan to China, Pakistan to UAE and the wider Gulf, Pakistan to UK, Pakistan to USA and Pakistan to Europe. The language and email engine was trained on real freight correspondence from South Asian, Chinese and Gulf trade lanes, and it handles multi currency comparison across PKR, USD, CNY, AED, GBP and EUR because that is what these corridors actually require.

  • Fregix is live with Momentum Logistics, a subsidiary of the Interloop Group, which is one of Pakistan's largest business conglomerates, deployed through the Microsoft Graph API. TLC Logistics runs a substantial share of its daily operations on Fregix, and RFL Logistics is an active deployment. Across all deployments to date Fregix has processed more than 10,000 freight inquiries with zero customer churn.

  • Yes. Fregix is not tied to any port, city or trade lane. It works for forwarders in Karachi handling sea freight through Port Qasim, for exporters' forwarders in Sialkot and Faisalabad, and for Lahore based operations working air and road corridors. What matters is that you receive inquiries by email and source rates from an agent network, which describes almost every forwarder in the country.

  • No. Fregix runs entirely in the cloud on AWS. There is no software to install on your office computers, no server to maintain and no IT staff required. Your team keeps using Outlook, Gmail or whatever email client they already open every morning.

  • Yes. WhatsApp is on the Fregix roadmap and is a priority for the Pakistan market specifically. In Pakistan and the Gulf, clients ask for shipment updates on WhatsApp far more often than by email. The planned WhatsApp layer will use the official WhatsApp Business API to send booking confirmations, milestone updates and documents to clients automatically, and to answer client status queries instantly. It is not live yet.

  • Yes. Fregix is built by Binary AI Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, registered with the SECP in Pakistan, with a parallel LLC registration in Wyoming, USA for international clients. The engineering team is Pakistani, the founder grew up inside a Pakistani freight forwarding business, and the product was designed against Pakistani trade corridors rather than adapted to them afterwards.

Results and Proof

  • Customers report roughly doubling the number of inquiries their team can process, and a matching increase in the shipments they manage each month, without hiring additional pricing staff. The reason is simple. The real constraint on most forwarding businesses is how many inquiries one pricing executive can physically work through in a day. Fregix removes that ceiling.

  • Fregix removes the 3 to 4 hours per day that a typical pricing team spends writing agent emails, waiting for replies and building quotes in Excel. That time does not simply disappear. It goes back into selling, into handling more inquiries and into servicing existing clients properly.

  • Both, and the win rate effect is usually the larger one. In freight forwarding the first credible quote to reach the client very often wins the shipment. When your quote arrives in under a minute and a competitor's arrives four hours later, you are no longer competing on price alone. Customers report both faster response and higher inquiry throughput, and those two compound into more shipments booked every month.

  • More than 10,000 freight inquiries have been processed through Fregix across live deployments, with zero customer churn to date. Fregix has been running in production with paying enterprise customers since July 2026.

Pricing and Onboarding

  • Fregix runs on a simple monthly subscription with a one time onboarding fee, and it is priced well below the international freight software platforms Pakistani forwarders are usually quoted. Because Fregix is built in Pakistan for this market, the pricing is set against what a local SME forwarder can actually afford rather than against enterprise Western budgets. Contact the Fregix team for a quote based on your inquiry volume and the size of your agent network.

  • No. Fregix costs a fraction of what international freight platforms charge, and it does not carry the licensing, implementation and consultant costs that come with enterprise systems. Those platforms are priced for global forwarders with dedicated IT budgets. Fregix is priced for the Pakistani and Gulf SME forwarder, which is exactly who it was built for.

  • Because Fregix is not a self service tool that you sign up for and then work out alone. Onboarding covers connecting Fregix securely to your actual email infrastructure, mapping your agent network, configuring your margin rules and matching your quotation branding and format. This is hands on engineering work on your specific setup, and it is the reason Fregix works properly from the first week rather than needing months of tuning.

  • For most SME forwarders a single additional shipment won per month more than covers the subscription. Set the cost against one pricing executive's salary and the comparison is not close, because Fregix costs a fraction of one hire while roughly doubling how many inquiries your existing team can process. The forwarders who gain the most are precisely the small and mid sized ones who cannot afford to add headcount every time inquiry volume rises.

  • No. Fregix operates on monthly rolling contracts with no long term commitment. If it stops delivering value you stop paying. We would rather earn the renewal every month than hold anyone inside an annual agreement.

Data Security, Privacy and Trust

  • Fregix connects to your inbox through standard authenticated protocols, either IMAP/SMTP or the Microsoft Graph API, which are the same mechanisms used by every enterprise email tool your business already trusts. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and infrastructure runs on AWS, the same cloud platform used by banks and global logistics companies. Your rates, your agent relationships and your client list remain yours alone.

  • No, and this is the question we are asked most often. Every Fregix customer runs in a logically isolated environment. Your agent list, your buying rates, your margins and your client names are never pooled, aggregated, benchmarked or shared with any other forwarder using Fregix, including forwarders in your own city working the same lanes. Your agent network is the most valuable asset your business owns, and Fregix is built on the principle that it stays entirely yours.

  • For Microsoft 365 clients, no password is ever shared with Fregix. Access is granted through Microsoft's own OAuth consent framework, which issues a revocable token rather than exposing credentials. For standard IMAP/SMTP accounts, connection credentials are stored encrypted and are used solely to send and receive on your behalf. Wherever your provider supports application specific passwords or OAuth, we configure that during onboarding rather than using your main account password.

  • Fregix staff do not browse your mailbox. When you raise a support issue, our team works with you online, and your own staff open the relevant message on their screen while we walk through it together. That means you decide what is shown, you are present for the whole session, and nothing is reviewed without a member of your team in the room. Support is something we do alongside you rather than something that happens quietly inside your inbox.

  • Fregix uses established enterprise AI and cloud infrastructure providers to power its language engine, operating under commercial agreements that prohibit those providers from using your data to train their own models. The full list of subprocessors is shared during onboarding so your team knows exactly which services touch your data before you sign anything.

  • Fregix data is hosted on AWS infrastructure with encryption applied at rest and in transit. If your business has a specific requirement about data residency, whether for a client contract, a group policy or a regulatory reason, raise it during onboarding and we will confirm what is possible for your deployment before you commit.

  • Yes, immediately and without contacting us. Microsoft 365 customers can revoke Fregix's access at any time from their own Microsoft admin console, and the connection stops the moment they do. IMAP customers can revoke access by changing the connection credentials. You are never in a position where a vendor holds access you cannot withdraw yourself.

  • Your data is yours and it leaves with you. On cancellation you can request an export of your records, and Fregix will delete your data from its systems on request within an agreed period. There is no arrangement where your quotation history or agent information is held hostage to keep you subscribed. Fregix runs on monthly rolling contracts precisely because we would rather earn the renewal.

  • Correspondence goes out from your own address, under your own company name and in your normal business style, so your clients and agents experience the same professional communication they always have. What changes for them is speed and consistency. Fregix operates as infrastructure behind your business in the same way your email hosting or accounting software does, and it does not present itself to third parties.

  • Nothing about your ability to operate depends on Fregix continuing to exist. Because Fregix works inside your own email rather than replacing it, all of your correspondence, quotations and agent history remain in your own inbox where they have always been. If Fregix stopped working tomorrow, your team would return to working manually with every record intact. That is a deliberate architectural choice and it is one of the strongest arguments for adopting an email based system over a platform that holds your business inside it.

  • Your team stays in control. Most forwarders start in review mode, where every quote is checked before it goes out, so anything misread is caught long before a client sees it. As accuracy proves itself on your own lanes and your own agents, customers typically move more of the workflow to automatic. You decide the level of autonomy and you can change it at any time.

  • Fregix operates within limits you set during onboarding, covering which inquiries it acts on, which agents it contacts and whether quotations go out automatically or wait for approval. Forwarders who want a person to approve every outbound quotation can run that way permanently. Nothing about the system requires you to hand over more autonomy than you are comfortable with.

  • Yes. Many of our customers work under confidentiality obligations to their own clients, and we are comfortable signing an NDA before any commercial discussion begins. If your legal team has a preferred template, send it across.

Comparison and Fit

  • Most freight platforms are rate databases or transport management systems. They can quote quickly, but only from rates already loaded into their system, and they require you to migrate onto their platform first. Fregix works the opposite way. It goes out and collects live rates from your own overseas agent network by email, then quotes from those. For forwarders whose pricing comes from agent relationships rather than carrier contracts, that is the difference between a tool that works and one that has nothing to draw on.

  • The two real differences are where the rates come from and who the tool is built for. Most AI quoting tools generate quotes from carrier rate databases and are designed to plug into enterprise transport management systems, which suits large forwarders already running that infrastructure. Fregix sources live rates from your own agent network through your existing inbox, requires no TMS at all and is priced for small and mid sized forwarders. If you do not run enterprise freight software, most AI quoting tools have nothing to connect to. Fregix does not have that dependency.

  • Yes. Fregix does not conflict with any system you already run, because it operates at the email layer rather than replacing your operational tools. Forwarders using an accounting package, a transport management system, or nothing beyond Excel can all run Fregix without changing anything.

  • Fregix still helps, although the benefit scales with the size of your network. The more agents you contact per inquiry, the more manual work Fregix removes. Forwarders working 15 or 20 agents per inquiry see the largest gains, but even with a handful of agents the reading, comparing and quote building work still disappears.

Operations, Accounts and the Wider Business

  • Quotation automation is what is live today, and operations and accounting are in active development as the next stages of the platform. The Fregix vision is straightforward. Every repetitive manual task in a freight forwarding business, from booking coordination and document collection through to invoicing and profitability, should be automated so that your team's time goes into moving more shipments rather than into paperwork. Fregix is building toward that layer by layer, and each stage is developed with input from customers already running the platform.

  • The operations stage automates everything that happens after a quote is accepted. That includes sending the booking confirmation to the shipper, managing the conversation between shipper, consignee and agent from one automated thread, requesting shipment documents such as the packing list, commercial invoice and bill of lading, and pushing status updates and delay alerts to every party at each milestone. The aim is that a shipment moves from booking to delivery without your operations team having to chase anyone by hand.

  • The finance stage generates the client invoice automatically from the shipment record the moment a shipment closes, calculates the agent payable from the booking rates and shows the profit on that shipment the same day rather than at month end. It is being built to handle multiple currencies across the Pakistan, China, UAE, UK and USA corridors, to track outstanding invoices with automatic reminders, and to export cleanly into the accounting software you already use.

  • No. Fregix removes the repetitive work, not the people. What changes is what your team spends the day on. Instead of typing the same email to twenty agents, chasing documents and rebuilding the same invoice by hand, your staff handle more shipments, more clients and the judgement calls that actually need a person. Every customer running Fregix so far has grown their shipment volume rather than reduced headcount.

  • Customs documentation and compliance are part of the Fregix roadmap and are not available yet. The planned direction covers document checklists by origin, destination and cargo type, draft bill of lading generation from the shipment record and validation of commercial invoices before submission. We would rather tell you plainly what is live today than sell a roadmap as a finished product.

Company and Founder

  • Fregix was founded by Dr. Arbab Alamgir, who holds a PhD in Microelectronics and Computer Systems and has more than 12 years of AI research behind him. He also grew up inside a freight forwarding business, which means Fregix was built by someone who watched pricing teams manually email agents for years before he had the technical means to automate it. That combination of lived freight forwarding experience and deep AI expertise is rare in this industry, and it is the reason Fregix solves the problem forwarders actually have rather than the one a software company imagines they have.

  • Because Fregix is already running inside Pakistan's largest enterprises, not only in small pilots. Fregix operates in production for Momentum Logistics, a subsidiary of the Interloop Group, integrated through the Microsoft Graph API and paying commercially since July 2026. More than 10,000 inquiries have been processed and no customer has ever churned. Fregix is also engaged with PIFFA in Pakistan and with international forwarding networks including NAFL in the UAE and NCBFAA in the United States.

  • Fregix is, to our knowledge, the first AI platform built specifically to automate freight forwarding operations for Pakistani forwarders, and the first to do it from inside the forwarder's own email rather than by asking them to move onto a new system. Global tools exist, but none of them were designed for the agent network, email and WhatsApp reality of how freight forwarding actually runs in Pakistan, China and the Gulf corridors.

  • Fregix is built by an experienced engineering team alongside a network of technology partners, and the product is shaped in constant consultation with industry advisors who have spent their careers inside freight forwarding. Those advisors review the platform regularly and bring the real bottlenecks that every Pakistani freight forwarder runs into, from chasing agents for rates through to document and payment delays. That means Fregix is built against problems the industry has actually named, rather than problems a software company assumed it had.

Roadmap and Adoption

  • Quotation automation is what is live today, and it is where forwarders feel the pain most immediately. Fregix is being built as a complete operating layer for freight forwarding. Shipment and booking coordination is in development now, with finance and invoicing, documentation and a WhatsApp client communication layer planned to follow.

  • The next release covers post booking coordination. That means automatic booking confirmations, managing the three way conversation between shipper, consignee and agent, requesting shipment documents automatically and pushing status updates to every party at each milestone. This stage is in active development and was requested directly by our enterprise customer's operations team.

  • No, and waiting would actually work against you. Adopting AI in a freight forwarding business is a step by step process, and Fregix is deliberately built that way. We do not release every module at once, because a team that is handed six new automated workflows in one week ends up using none of them properly. Instead, each stage goes live only once your team is comfortable with the one before it, so the change is absorbed naturally rather than forced. Forwarders who start now also have their agent network, margin rules and quote branding already configured when the operations, finance and WhatsApp layers switch on, which means every later stage arrives ready to use rather than as a fresh project.

  • Most forwarders are live within days rather than months, because there is nothing to migrate. Onboarding connects Fregix to your existing inbox, maps your agent network and configures your margin rules and quote format. Your team keeps working exactly as they did the week before, and the difference they notice is that the agent emails and rate comparisons have already been done for them.
